  • The Chapter is a local extension of national USGBC. The benefits of belonging to the Louisiana Chapter are very local – putting you in touch with the state green building network
  • There are numerous opportunities to network with peers in the green building industry.
  • Chapter members are listed on the chapter’s membership page of the website.
  • Members have access to the full local membership directory.
  • Members may receive lower rates at chapter events.
  • Opportunities to participate on working committees that are actively engaged in transforming the building market in Louisiana.
  • Members attend events more frequently than with only National membership.
  • If a person works for a national member company, he/she can join the Chapter at a lower rate ($50 instead of $65).
  • More privileges within the chapter if one is a chapter member AND works for a USGBC member company (Full member vs. Associate member). As a Full member, one can vote in elections and serve on the Chapter Board.
