This person will be responsible for sending out weekly or bi-weekly email notices about upcoming chapter and green related events. The information and details will be supplied regularly from various sources.

What is LA's Public Relations Committee about?
The USGBC-La Public Relations Committee acts as the face and voice of the Chapter to ensure accurate and important information on USGBC operations and green building is shared with the general public, press, and membership. The committee serves four primary functions: public/media relations, website development, membership newsletter, and graphic design. Committee members use expertise in these areas to advance the Chapter's mission for sustainable development while simultaneously gaining valuable personal experience.
What is LA's Sponsorship Committee about?
This Committee is in charge of developing fiscal growth and fostering strategic partnerships. This involves conducting fundraising and sponsorship campaigns to generate revenue so the Chapter can pursue and even expand its mission. Beyond fiscal operations, the Committee develops strategic relationships with a variety of organizations in and out of the green building industry. It brings institutions and professionals together around the shared vision of a sustainable Louisiana.
What is LA's Membership Committee about?
The USGBC-Louisiana Membership committee strives to expand the capacity for green building and grow the USGBC alliance across the state. The committee uses networking and campaigns to grow the Louisiana chapter membership. National Membership is held by organizations and it's more the focus of USGBC national rather than the local chapter. All LA board members must work for company that is a national member.
What is LA's Green Schools Committee about?
This committee engages and informs educational professionals and institutions on how to transform buildings and operations to be sustainable, healthy, and efficient. We offer tips, funding sources and informational resources to help schools "green" their buildings and operations. We help schools save money and reduce footprint while educating and inspiring the next generation of green building professionals.
What is LA's Education Committee about?
The USGBC Louisiana Education Committee serves institutions and individuals across Louisiana by delivering premier green building education. The Committee hosts full-day workshops on a variety of topics, including new construction, retail, existing buildings, neighborhood planning, green homes, and more! The Committee strives to make green building education fun, accessible, valuable, and customized while serving as a networking venue for professionals who work in, or are interested in, the field of sustainable development.
